Data Center Thermal Inspection
Data centers depend on electrical and cooling infrastructure that can't be taken offline casually. A loose connection in a PDU, an overloaded busway section or a cooling unit that is falling behind all show up as abnormal heat before they show up as an outage. Confluence Industrial Solutions performs infrared thermal inspection of data center electrical and cooling systems and delivers the findings as documentation your facility and infrastructure teams can use to plan maintenance around uptime.
What gets inspected.
• Switchgear, transformers and main electrical distribution
• UPS systems and battery strings
• PDUs, remote power panels, busways and branch circuit connections

What you receive.
Each anomaly is documented with paired thermal and visual images, the equipment location, the measured temperature difference and a severity classification. Findings are organized into a structured report that can be attached to a work order, shared with your electrical or mechanical contractor, and compared against the next survey to track changes over time.
Why data centers schedule it.
- Electrical scans are typically performed under normal load, with no shutdown required;
- Insurance and loss-control programs frequently request infrared surveys;
- Repeat surveys build a baseline for trending critical electrical and cooling equipment.
