Solar & Wind Turbine Inspection

Utility-scale solar arrays and wind turbines cover too much ground, and reach too high, to inspect efficiently on foot. Confluence Industrial Solutions uses drones to capture RGB and thermal imagery of solar arrays and wind turbine blades and towers, and organizes the results by location so owners and O&M teams can see where attention is needed.

What gets inspected.

• Solar arrays, using thermal imaging to locate hot spots and underperforming modules or strings
• Solar module surfaces, racking and array layout
• Wind turbine blades, including leading edges and surface condition
• Wind turbine towers and nacelle exteriors
• Site substations and collection infrastructure.

What you receive.

Imagery is organized by array block, row, turbine or blade, so each observation ties to a specific location on the site. Thermal and visual images are paired where both are collected, and findings are delivered as structured documentation your team can review, attach to a work order and compare against future flights.

Why energy sites schedule it.

  • Large arrays can be covered more efficiently than a walking inspection;
  • Blade and tower imagery can be collected without climbing or rope access;
  • Repeat flights build a record of condition changes over time.
