Electrical enclosure showing heat patterns during an industrial thermal imaging inspection

Industrial Thermal Imaging Inspection

Heat is the earliest warning most industrial equipment gives you. A loose lug, a failing bearing, an overloaded phase, a saturated section of roof insulation - each shows up as a thermal signature long before it shows up as a failure. Confluence Industrial Solutions performs infrared thermography on energized electrical equipment, mechanical systems, and building envelopes, and returns the findings as documentation your maintenance team can act on and file.

What gets inspected.

• Switchgear, MCCs, panelboards, breakers, disconnects and transformers
• Motors, bearings, couplings, gearboxes and drivetrains
• Steam systems, traps, piping and insulation
• Roof moisture surveys and building envelope scans
• Electrical connections at the service entrance and distribution level
• Data center UPS systems, PDUs, busways and cooling equipment

What you receive.

Every anomaly is captured as a paired thermal and visual image, located on a facility reference, and described with the measured delta-T and a severity classification. Findings are delivered as a structured report, not a folder of loose images, so they can be attached to a work order or dropped into your CMMS.

Why facilities schedule it.

  • Insurance and loss-control programs frequently request infrared surveys;
  • Electrical scans are typically performed under load, with no shutdown required;
  • Repeat surveys build a baseline, so the second scan is more useful than the first.
